Terms of Service
Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to ScholaPlan, an online lesson planning tool available at scholaplan.com ("ScholaPlan", "we", "us", "our"). By registering an account or using the service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). We may revise these Terms periodically and will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Description of Service
ScholaPlan gives teachers a set of web-based tools to build and organise classes, timetables, units, lesson plans, and diary entries. Any new features we add to the platform are automatically covered by these Terms unless we say otherwise. The service is delivered over the internet on an "as available" basis — we are not responsible for lost, delayed, or undelivered data, or for failures caused by your internet connection or device.
You are responsible for obtaining internet access and any hardware or software needed to use ScholaPlan.
Registration
When you create an account you must give us accurate, up-to-date information and keep it current. You must be 18 or older to register. If we have reason to believe your registration details are false or misleading, we may suspend or close your account without notice.
One Account Per Person
Each ScholaPlan account is for the sole use of the individual who registered it. Sharing login credentials with others is not permitted. If we believe an account is being used by more than one person, we reserve the right to suspend or close it.
Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. Using ScholaPlan means you also accept our Privacy Policy.
Account Security
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity that takes place under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation, contact us immediately at support@scholaplan.com.
Acceptable Use
You are responsible for everything you upload, create, or transmit through ScholaPlan. You must not use the service to:
- Post or send anything unlawful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise harmful
- Harm or exploit minors in any way
- Pretend to be someone you are not, or misrepresent your connection to any person or organisation
- Upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual property right
- Send spam, unsolicited marketing, or chain messages
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any code intended to damage or disrupt systems
- Attempt to interfere with, overload, or gain unauthorised access to ScholaPlan's servers or infrastructure
- Break any applicable law or regulation
- Harvest or collect personal data about other users
We reserve the right to remove content that breaches these rules and to report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities. We may also preserve and disclose content where required by law or to protect the safety of users or the public.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the lesson plans, notes, and other content you create in ScholaPlan. By using the service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content solely to deliver the service to you. We will not use your content for any other purpose, and we will not sell it.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold ScholaPlan and its staff harmless against any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your use of the service, content you submit, or your breach of these Terms.
No Resale
You may not resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise any part of the ScholaPlan service without our prior written consent.
Subscription and Billing
ScholaPlan offers a free trial followed by a paid subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. Payments are handled securely through our payment provider. If you have a question about a charge or would like to request a refund, email us at support@scholaplan.com and we will review it.
Storage and Usage Limits
We may apply reasonable limits to storage, data retention, or usage to keep the service running reliably for everyone. We are not liable for any loss resulting from the deletion of data or the enforcement of such limits. We also reserve the right to remove accounts that have been inactive for an extended period, and to change these limits at any time.
Changes to the Service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of ScholaPlan at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we are not liable to you or any third party if we modify or discontinue the service.
Termination
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms or if we decide to discontinue the service. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@scholaplan.com. On closure, we may delete your account data in line with our data retention policy. We are not liable to you or any third party for any consequences of account termination.
Intellectual Property
ScholaPlan, its logo, and all related brand names are the property of ScholaPlan. The software and design of the service are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer any part of the service, or use our branding without written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
ScholaPlan is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components. Your use of the service is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScholaPlan is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, even if we have been told such loss was possible.
Notices
We will contact you using the email address on your account. You consent to receiving notices and communications from us electronically.
General
These Terms are the complete agreement between you and ScholaPlan regarding your use of the service. They are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms is not a waiver of that right.
Reporting Violations
If you believe someone is violating these Terms, please let us know at support@scholaplan.com.
